We never thought we would see the day, but finally, it is time to split! Cinder Interactive announced that their fan remake of the much-loved FPS series TimeSplitters, appropriately named TimeSplitters Rewind, will release next month for free!
A celebration of the TimeSplitters trilogy, originally developed by Free Radical Design, the remake will include maps, game modes, leagues, challenges, and story content from all three games. The devs dropped a new trailer for TimeSplitters Rewind, which you can watch below or on the official TimeSplitters Rewind website, alongside the game’s release date of November 23rd.

- 20 Arcade Game Modes
- New Game Mode – Team Elimination

Fans of the TimeSplitters series have waited over 13 years for anything, frankly, from the series. This is especially true with the devastating news of Free Radical Design’s closure by Embracer Group back in 2023, which led to the cancellation of an official TimeSplitters 2 remake. Cinder Interactive have made it clear that the game is not a full remake of the trilogy, but instead “one game that, as closely as possible, captures the spirit of the 3 games in one.”
There is a countdown to the release of TimeSplitters Rewind on the game’s website, and a timeline of events leading up to the present day, which feels almost poetic given the TimeSplitters themes of the series.
TimeSplitters Rewind releases on November 23rd for PC.
