Season One of the excellent Battlefield 6 starts today – 28 October 2025 – with new battle royale mode, Redsec also being released. A full reveal of free to play Redsec is scheduled for later today in time for the Season One which launches at 15:00 UTC / 16:00 CET.
The free Season One brings three new maps including one today, Blackwell Fields, new weapons and a whole host of gameplay updates and fixes.
Season One also introduces the game’s first paid battle pass.

When Battlefield 6 launched on Xbox, a mysterious extra 185 achievement points were available for 11 achievements all titled ‘SECRET’. Thankfully, we now know that these are all tied to Redsec and can share the full list with you.
It’s a very grindy list with the Rise from Your Grave achievement / trophy for 1988 revives looking particularly daunting. 7 match wins in duos will also be a tough one we’re sure.
