Psychedelic Horror, Sleep Awake Gets December Release for Console and PC

When more was revealed earlier this year, Sleep Awake looked like it was shaping up to be one of the years big horror titles. Whilst the title isn’t going to release in time for spooky season, developer Eyes Out have confirmed the game will still release this year, on December 2 2025. Originally, the title had been pegged for a 2026 launch.

Sleep Awake blends FMV sequences with first-person to create a thriller narrative experience that is full of psychedelic trips, exploring the realms between sleep and death. In the last known city on earth, everyone is trying to stay awake to avoid a mysterious disappearance.

Sleep Awake release date trailer

In the latest trailer we learn more about the story’s trailer and gameplay, which appears to show stealth elements and puzzle solving. The atmosphere of the game looks truly horrifying.

Robin Finck from band Nine Inch Nails is also part of the creative team, and if the trailers are anything to go by the game will have a pretty heavy soundtrack. The developers have also promised soundtrack drops in the run up to launch via their YouTube channel.

A Sleep Awake demo is currently available on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest.

Sleep Awake launches December 2 2025 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
