Nintendo Switch online members have a few more games to look forward to today. Nintendo took to social media and Youtube to announce new games would be joining the online platform today. Joining the Switch Online SNES library are BUBSY in: Claws Encounters of the Furred King, FATAL FURY SPECIAL, and Mario & Wario.
BUBSY in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind
In an interesting move, or perhaps capitalizing on Bubsy’s return in the Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection, this is the first game shown in the lineup. As Bubsy, try to reclaim your precious yarn that was stolen by the Woolies an alien race obsessed with yarn. There are 16 stages for you to complete in BUBSY in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind.
FATAL FURY SPECIAL
Originally released in 1995, this entry in the FATAL FURY series allows you to choose from 15 different fighters. Many of these fighters are still alive and well in fighting games today. The match shown in the video is Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui who are in Street Fighter 6 and quite familiar to many. This entry into the FATAL FURY series was the first time Wolfgang Krauser was playable although he makes his first appearance in FATAL FURY 2. This is a great way to see how far some of your favorite fighters have come since the 90s.
Mario & Wario
It’s no secret that many games from Japan do not always make it to the western audiences. For Mario & Wario first released in 1993 for the Super Famicom system, it’s time for them to find a larger audience. Interestingly enough, this game has been mentioned in many other fan favorite games such as Pokemon Red and Blue. The kicker with this one? You need Mouse Controls only found on Switch 2 to play Mario & Wario. For those who know some of the history, this shouldn’t be a huge surprise. When Mario & Wario was first released it took advantage of the Super Famicom Mouse. That’s right, the Switch 2 isn’t the first time Nintendo has introduced mouse controls.
