While there may be a lot of controversy around Xbox Game Pass right now, the one thing that’s not controversial is how big of a month October is for the service.
Today Xbox gave us the list of what’s coming for the first half (and a bit beyond) of October and it is shaping up to be a jam packed month.
October Wave 1 Game Pass

- Supermarket Simulator (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available Today
- Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions (PC) – October 9
- The Casting of Frank Stone (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 14
- Ball x Pit (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 15
- The Grinch: Christmas Adventures (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 15
- Eternal Strands (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 15
- He Is Coming (Game Preview) (PC) – October 15
- Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 15
- Pax Dei (PC) – October 16
- Keeper (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 17
- Evil West (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 21
- Ninja Gaiden 4 (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – October 21
The highlights are undoubtedly Keeper and Ninja Gaiden 4, which happen to be from Xbox themselves. Keeper is the first game from Double Fine since the critically acclaimed Psychonauts 2. A wordless adventure it looks to set the tone with its art and gameplay. Everything we’ve seen from it so far suggests it will be a must play.
Ninja Gaiden returns in a big way with the 7th mainline entry in the series. Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames it takes place just after the events of 2012’s Ninja Gaiden 3. It is one of the most anticipated games for the rest of the year.
Outside of the 2 Xbox published games Ball x Pit is another day 1 title landing on the service. The roguelite from Devolver will be sure to turn some heads.
Looking ahead there’s still plenty to be excited about in October as well. Powerwash Simulator 2 just got its release date for the end of the month and The Outer Worlds 2 will also drop at the end of the month.
