Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has hit quite the milestone. The developers at Sandfall Interactive announced recently that they’ve hit the 5 million copies sold mark. This is no small feat in a year where so many games have come out one after another. Gaming fans are eating well this year and Sandfall is about to give players a reason to return back for seconds.

Sandfall Interactive are ready to celebrate this milestone with a new free update for players. This update includes a new dungeon, enemies, bosses and more to come. It appears that the development team was not the only ones ready to celebrate. Verso’s voice actor Ben Starr took to Twitter/X to post a bit of a thank you. With a small voice acting session on the way, does this mean we also may get some more scenes with the characters? The answer is a resounding yes.
Five million copies sold.

Only one way to say “thank you”.
One last *very* small session as Verso. pic.twitter.com/O45t4coZ3y
The update will bring players to a brand new location with surprises for players to discover. There will be additional challenge battles for late game players to take on. For the cosplayers out there, expect some new costumes for each member of the Expedition as well. The update also brings the text and UI into new languages to expand their player base. There are also a number of surprised that we’ve received no hint for as of yet.
Sandfall as not yet disclosed when the update would be released, but did share they are working on it and asked for some patience. Of course, that doesn’t mean they left players with just words on what would be coming. They did share the below photo that players can choose to closely examine. Those who have already completed the game may find some interesting details along the way. No spoilers here though, you’ll have to play and make your own guesses!
