Welcome to our achievement guide for SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato, available in Xbox Game Pass and on Steam. This guide will show you how to easily unlock the Melomano achievement for finding Cranky Frog’s birthday song. This will net you an achievement, but it is also required for story progression later on.

Melamano Achievement Guide

This is available later in the game after you return home, and are then sent back to the Pier by Nana to collect the potatoes. This achievement can be unlocked as you work towards opening the secret hideout.

When you’re back in the Pier area, head towards the middle area of the Pier and left, where Cranky Frog was the first time you were in the Pier – this is where there was a buildup of stacked boxes on your first visit. Now, this has been replaced by a birthday celebration for Cranky Frog:

Get talking to Cranky Frog about their birthday, and they’ll start to tell you about an old song they’ve forgotten, though they can remember these lyrics:

So, who else is old in the game we could ask about this song? It’s time to head back to Nana’s Kitchen. Head all the way southwards back towards the jetty and get back in your boat to Nana’s place:

When back with Nana, you want to choose the following dialogue options:

Nana… you’re super old, right
That means you know very old songs, right?
I just heard a tiny bit
Under the stars, lit by the moon

Nana will now share the full song lyrics Cranky Frog desires:

At this point, wrap up your conversation with Nana, and your achievement will unlock. But we still need to get back to Cranky Frog.

When you get back to Cranky Frog, you can tell them the song name – note that due to a bug, he was completely invisible on my pre-release version of the game:

Let Cranky know the words (note: Cranky was invisible to me at this time)

After this, he will give you a slice of cake and a topper. You need to keep this topper for when you enter the hideout. The cake topper is used for beating the purple frog at cards, to get your potato back:
