The Painkiller series is back, with a reimagining of the classic franchise arriving on PC and consoles later this month. To help get the blood pumping and prepare you for your righteous missions, let’s check out the Painkiller achievement/trophy list.

Developed by Anshar Studios and published by 3D Realms, Painkiller is a fast-paced first-person shooter that can be played both single-player and co-op for up to 3 players. You have been sentenced for your transgressions against Heaven, but the Voice of the Creator has given you a chance to redeem yourself. Jump, dash, and hook across vast biomes, battle through hordes of demons with a range of infernal weaponry, and stop the fallen angel Azazel from invading Earth.

The Painkiller Achievement list, available on the TrueAchievements website, comprises 41 achievements, dividing the 1000G among them. The PlayStation trophies were not available at the time of writing; however, we will update this article when they become available. There are a handful of secret achievements that we have hidden for those who don’t want to spoil themselves, but can still be seen by players if they choose.

The Painkiller achievement/trophy list looks to have a lot of variety, from simple actions you are likely to unlock just by playing normally, to specific challenges that will likely keep fans engaged for some time. There is also a nice balance of single-player and multiplayer achievements, so you’ll want to grab a friend or two if you’re looking to get the full 1000G or that shiny platinum trophy.

There are quite a few achievements that have caught our eye, whether it’s because they sound fun or challenging. Several achievements, like Cliff Notes, Power Trip, Stake Night, and Group Discount, require you to kill a certain number of enemies in various grisly ways, while others, like Seraphic Streak and Chain Reaper, look to challenge players to play the best they can to reach a high enough combo and maintain it, respectively.
