Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is here, and there are a lot of things to do and items to buy. It can feel pretty overwhelming at first, as you need to earn a boatload of Donpa Tickets to unlock everything. Hopefully, with our guide, we can make that grind a little bit easier for you.
Check out our Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Review to read our full thoughts on the game.
First off, before we jump into some of these methods, we suggest fully enjoying the game. There is a lot of fun to be had here with all of the races, and we will cover some early Donpa Ticket methods that won’t make it feel like a grind, but these eventually run dry. Having said that, grinding methods can get quite repetitive and turn you off from a game, so we recommend only doing that in short bursts.
Unfortunately, the balance between how many tokens you earn in races and how much you actually need to unlock everything seems super unbalanced. You earn very little relatively speaking, which will make the game’s full completion quite the grind. With all that said, let’s get into it!
Play The Game
Like we said above, the first method is to simply enjoy the game. Complete grand prix’s defeat rivals, do some team races, and just enjoy the game. Everything you do in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will earn you tickets, so you are never wasting your time when it comes to gaining tickets.
At the very least, you should finish the grand prix circuits and do your team rival races. This will get you a decent amount of tickets and upgrades to help you get better at the higher difficulty races.
Challenges
If you head into the Extras section of the main menu, you will see a section called Challenges. These challenges range from simple things like winning any grand prix to more difficult things like getting an A rank on a track. Completing each challenge will get you closer to some tokens. You can only complete each challenge once, though, so don’t expect to be stacking them over and over. Every few challenges completed will get you 100 tokens.

Red Coins
As you play through each track, you will notice every single track has 5 red coins on it to collect. You will want to focus on doing this for each track, as collecting all 5 of them nets you 30 tokens. You don’t need to get all 5 in one race, so don’t worry about doing that, but you will want to collect them all. Much like the challenges, these are one-time token earners as well, so you can only get the bonus tokens once per track.

Defeating Rivals…..A Lot
Now this is where the grind comes in a bit if you’ve completed everything else and just want to smash out tokens. If you head into the Race Park, you can challenge rivals and rival teams here. For a grinding method of getting tokens fast, you will want to defeat all your rivals multiple times.

After defeating them once, the second time around, you will get additional tokens. The third time you defeat them all, you will get even more tokens, and so on. Choose the mode and track you like (E-Stadium is probably the simplest) and the difficulty you are comfortable with. The higher the difficulty, the more you will earn, but if you aren’t beating your rivals, then it won’t matter much that you are on a higher difficulty.
Also, we should note that by defeating them once, twice, etc, we mean filling the card you get at the end of the races. Doing so once will most of the time earn you a car. After clearing it once, you will start to see more tokens instead.

This is a very boring method, as you will be doing the same race and track over and over again, but it will be your most efficient way of earning those Donpa Tokens. With any luck, Sega might rebalance the token distribution, but for now, this is what must be done!
We hope this has helped you with your grind for unlocking everything in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. For more guides, check below for our coverage!
