Borderland 4 is finally here. As thousands of Vault Hunters scour the planet of Kairos for that elusive Vault and its riches, we at the Gamer Social Club are here to help you track down all the collectables and achievements (or trophies!) to help you become the Ultimate Vault Hunter and bring an end to The Timekeepers’ reign. So, here is our All Things Vend Achievement/Trophy guide!
Before we go any further, this Achievement/Trophy isn’t 100% missable, but if you don’t follow the correct requirements, you will need to attempt it in another playthrough, and it’s roughly 15hours in
You had me at Legendary
You will not have access to the side quest Vend of the Line until you make your way to Carcadia in The Carcadia Burn.
Once you finish a quest for Levaine, you will stumble upon a reporter bot interviewing a Vault Gatherer. This is where you will pick up the Vend of the Line side quest, and we will start our journey for the All Things Vend Achievement or Trophy.

We learn that there is a legendary vending machine hidden somewhere in the Burn. If this didn’t pique your interest, are you even a Vault Hunter?
Step the First
Upon expecting the vending machine, we discover it’s empty. If you do a quick loop around the back, you will discover 4 images of different color dollar signs.
We need to sell the machine x2 Green quality items, then x2 Blue quality items
These colors represent the quality of the loot, and the lines through them mean we need to sell, not buy.
So, to this vending machine, we need to sell it x2 Greens and x2 Blues.
Upon selling your loot, the machine will have an aneurysm, and the screen will crack. You will then be given the next part of our quest.

The First Vending Machine.
Next, we are heading to the Ruined Sumplands in Carcadia Burns.

Once you are at the location, clear the area of enemies. Now begins the hunt for the next vending machine.

Jump up to the roof of the building with the graffiti on the second floor.

Now we just need to find the code. Jump up to the roof and aim down sights to see the code on the back of the machine

The code is Green, Purple, Blue, and finally Green. This time, there are no lines through the dollar symbols, so we have to buy, not sell.
Unfortunately, the machine is empty. So you first need to sell x2 Green, a Blue, and a Purple. Then buy them back.
Make sure you buy them back in the correct order.

Vending Machine the Second.
Now we are heading off to a place of interest called Crumblehall in the Grindstone of the Worthy. We have been to this location already, when we first arrived in Carcadia.

Upon arriving, you will hear the Vault Gatherer yelling under a tipped-over vending machine.
You know the drill by now; we must find the codes.

If you climb to the top of the building in front of you, you will see a pile of bags of cement. Jump on top of those and peer in the window for the next code.

This is an expensive one. x2 purples and x2 legendaries.

Thankfully, you don’t have to part with two legendaries. You just need to yell the code to the vault gatherer trapped under the machine to input the code.
Off to the next vending machine!
Vending Machine number 3.
The next vending machine is in Lopside, by the settlement of Embracer’s Bluff. There is a safe house very close, so make sure you unlock that while you’re here.

Upon arriving at Embracer’s Bluff, there is already someone using the machine. Just hit it a few times, and the defence system will activate and kill the Vault Gatherer.
Let’s find that code. There is a gap to the left of the machine; you can crouch under that and make your way around to the back for the code.

Green, Purple, Blue, Purple. The line through the $ means to sell.
So sell the required loot to the vending machine and let’s move on.

Final Vending Machine.
We are heading back to The Grindstone of the Worthy, to a place called The Dusty Dangler.

Jump on the pile of garbage behind the vending machine to get your next code.

We need to sell Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange quality loot. Unfortunately, we will actually have to part with a legendary this time.

Once the final loot has been sold, you will need to follow the power line down over the cliff.

This door will have three Vault Gatherers in front of it, and they will run ahead to claim your prize.

Once you catch up with them, it will lead to a weird boss fight against the Legendary Vending Machine.

Once you have defeated The Legendary Vending Machine, BEFORE YOU GET YOUR REWARD! Make sure you check the ground for the code.

You need to sell x3 green quality loot before you purchase the legendary.
If you do this part wrong, you will be locked out of the Achievement for this playthrough.
Upon purchasing your $1 Legendary, the vending machine will spit out a photo.
Now my game glitched, and the photo didn’t spawn. If this happens, exit back to the main menu and reload. You will spawn out the front of the cave. Just run back in, and the photo will be there.
Take the photo back to Zane at Moxxi’s Bar, and the side quest will be over, and you will get All Things Vend Achievement or Trophy.
