While the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Showcase was lighter on the Indie games, we did get a couple of exciting morsels to enjoy. One that has got our whiskers twitching here at the GSC is that we finally have a release date for Winter Burrow!
We got a new trailer along with the announcement, which showed off the game’s combat as well as some of the insect enemies you will face. It also highlighted some of the NPCs that you can meet and help each other survive the harsh winter.

Originally revealed at the Xbox Showcase back in June 2024 and developed by Pine Creek Games, Winter Burrow is a cosy survival game that you play at your own pace as you find the path that fits your playstyle. After returning to their childhood home to find it in disrepair and their Aunt has gone missing, a young mouse must journey out into the frozen wilderness to collect vital resources for both themselves and their home.
Customize your character, decorate your burrow, and solve the mystery of what happened to your Aunt and your home.
A demo for Winter Burrow was also announced as part of Indie Fan Fest 2025 yesterday.
Winter Burrow releases on November 12th across PC(Steam), PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and arrives day one of Xbox Game Pass.
