Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Trailer Shows Off The Banu Haqim

It’s almost hard to believe given the lengthy development cycle of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, but the game is finally seeing the light of day (or perhaps darkness?) in less than 1 month! As Paradox Interactive begins the buildup for the release they are showing us more of the game and characters. Today the publisher revealed a new trailer letting players see some of the games characters, specifically the Banu Haqim.

The nearly 2 minute trailer showcases the Clan of the Hunt and gives us a bit more detail on how the players will be able to deal with their enemies with many different moves. We see Niko the shop keeper where mortals come to pay their “debts” that they cannot pay. Niko explains how he removed a mans spleen after he promised to see his sick mother but did not.

We also see the female character Lou and Ysabella talking to Phyre about the Banu Haqim and what it means and how the clan prides itself on its principles.

The Banu Haqim will start off with the “Celerity”, “Blood Sorcery”, and “Obfuscate” clan affiliates. The “Silence of Death” passive ability means after you feed your actions will be silent for a period of time. As you progress through the game you will be able to unlock more Banu Haqim abilities to help Phyre slay with ease.

Banu Haqim Abilities

  • “Bladed Hand”: Slash swiftly in front of you, beheading weaker opponents.
  • “Split Second”: Move so fast that time appears to stop around you.
  • “Mute”: Silence your target’s screams and weapons.
  • “Unseen Aura”: Become temporarily invisible to enemies and civilians.
  • “Unseen Passage” – Clan Perk: Can remain crouched whilst sprinting.

The new trailer also gives us a glimpse at how Phyre moves about in the game, showcasing many of those actions that will be at the players disposal. While previews may not have been too kind to the game, everything we are seeing in the trailers looks pretty interesting.

Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 launches October 21st for Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can see the latest trailer below.
