The gaming landscape for early 2026 is beginning to take shape, and early indications are that we’re in for a hell of a year. Today during PlayStation’s State Of Play event Koei Tecmo announced a release date for their hotly anticipated PlayStation 5 (and PC) exclusive Nioh 3.
First announced back in June at another State of Play event, Koei Tecmo has given the game a release date of February 6th, 2026. While unfortunately this release date announcement isn’t quite as exciting as it could have been after it was leaked by Amazon earlier today, it is still great to see. With a release date of February 6th 2026 it now joins a February lineup of games such as Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, High on Life 2, Mario Tennis Fever and Resident Evil Requim. Is February the new October or what?

The game will feature a standard retail edition as well as a Treasure Box collectors edition. The collectors edition will come with the game and will also feature some extra goodies which inlcude:
- B5-Size Official Art Book
- Soundtrack
- Original Desk Mat
- Sunekosuri Fur Ball Key Chain
Nioh 3 is looking to build upon the success of the first 2 games in the series. Players will be able to seemlessly switch between Samurai and Ninja combat style which will lead to even more exciting combos. Nioh 3 will also feature new tactical gameplay making tackling groups of enemies and bosses a bit different than the previous titles.
With today’s trailer and release date announcement how excited are you to jump into Nioh 3 on February 6th? Let us know in the comments.
