Forza Horizon 6, Set in Japan Officially Revealed and Teaser Trailer

One of the biggest franchises in gaming is going on an adventure to a location that fans of the series have been desperate for.

Till now, Forza Horizon Festivals have been held across multiple continents. We've been to:

  • Forza Horizon: Colorado
  • Forza Horizon 2: France
  • Forza Horizon 3: Australia
  • Forza Horizon 4: UK
  • Forza Horizon 5: Mexico

And now, next year we're off to The Land of the Rising Sun for Forza Horizon 6.

Forza Horizon's popularity in the racing game genre has been unrivaled in recent years. Earlier this year, Forza Horizon made its debut outside of the Xbox and Steam ecosystems for the first time, launching on PlayStation 5 and becoming the biggest game of the year on the platform.

Whilst we're still ways out from Forza Horizon 6 - typically the series launches in the fall of its release year - it's likely Playground Games will continue to support Forza Horizon 5 with more updates for the next 12 months.

The Realms update launched earlier this year and the studio has an excellent track record of ensuring new, free content comes to its flagship series.

Will Forza Horizon 6 be on PlayStation 5?

On the YouTube description from the teaser trailer, it is confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch "first on Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC in 2026".

Thus indicating a PlayStation 5 release will follow. A regular cadence of Xbox Games Studio games coming to PlayStation 5 is around 4-5 months.

Will Forza Horizon 6 be on Xbox One?

No, the game will be for PC and Xbox Series X/S only.

Will Forza Horizon 6 be on Game Pass?

Yes, Forza Horizon 6 will be part of Xbox Game Pass on Day One and part of Xbox Play Anywhere - meaning you can take your journey across all Xbox platforms: Console, PC, Cloud and soon the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds.

Are you pleased to see that Playground Games are finally taking us to Japan for an open-world adventure? Truthfully, I couldn't be any more excited.
