Inspector Waffles Early Days – A New Archnemesis Guide

There are a total of 12 Achievements to unlock in Inspector Waffles Early Days, covering a bunch of activities and challenges. Half of them are solving the main mystery of each case, and the other half are solving the optional tasks the mysterious Mad Catter has in store. Here is our guide to help you unlock the A New Archnemesis in Inspector Waffles Early Days.

Check out our Inspector Waffles Early Days Review to get our full thoughts on the game.

I will be covering all the Mad Catter tasks located in each of the cases. These need to be done in order, as if you miss the task in case 1, for example, you won't be able to complete the one in case 2. So make sure you follow our guides so you don't miss these side mysteries.

A New Archnemesis
Find the Mad Catter's key in Case 1

In the world of Cattown, it seems that the police force is jaded and the evil masterminds of the town feel a bit bored with the lack of challenge, constantly able to get away with whatever crime they commit.

This is where our newly minted Inspector Waffles comes along! Right off the bat in Case 1 of the game, right beside the police station is an odd box, blocking the way to an alley, with its label ripped off by what seems like birds. Due to this, the box may never get to its intended destination, and we may never find out what's beyond this alleyway! I'm just joking, we're going to find this box its home.

Totally nothing nefarious is happening through this alley!

Get the Label

• Get these seagulls out of the way of the SC 2000 building
• Grab the Chief of Police, Patches, and use him as bait to do so
• Take the label

As you progress through the case of the missing video game cartridge, you will inevitably go to SC-2000. Here you'll see some rabid seagulls surrounding some piece of paper. Attempting to get close to them may endanger your life, so proceed with caution!

You need the label...I think

Head back to the police station and speak to the Chief of Police, who seems to always be eating some sort of baked good. Perhaps he can be used as bait to lure the seagulls out of the way! We might as well try; he's useless otherwise.

The Chief Patches is located where he normally is: by the donuts!

Shooing the seagulls away, you find out that the piece of paper is actually a delivery label! Perfect!

However, we'll need to find a place to input this information so that the delivery guy knows to grab that box by the police station.

Find some Codes and Use Them

• Find codes on the counter of SC 2000
• Use the code on the door beside your home
• Use the other code found on that label on the computer

Again, continuing with your main investigation, you'll gain access to some security codes, allowing you not only to progress with the story, but also to enter places you...weren't really allowed to? It's a video game, so it's ok! Let's move on!

The book of codes is located on the counter of SC-2000, and you'll need to take note of three codes: one for the main story case, one for this side activity in this chapter, and the last one you'll need for the next case. You'll need all three, especially the one for the next case, or you'll be stuck, unable to do the other side activities for the remainder of the game (unless you replay the chapter).

These codes, as far as I know, are unique to your Playthrough, so don't copy mine.

Now you have the codes, it's time to find where to actually input it! One of the codes you have is actually a delivery centre beside your house. However, you've never actually paid attention enough to have seen the front entrance to it.

Interact with this building at this spot, and you'll be prompted to input a security code. Do so and you'll gain access to the building and the computer inside it.

Once you interact with the computer, you'll need the information on the label that you pried off the seagulls and once you do, you'll find that once you go back to the police station, the box is finally on its way home!

What's beyond that alley?

• Go back to the Police Station alleyway
• Meet some green dude
• Get key

Going through the alleyway of the police station, you'll meet the person who left the puzzle in hopes of finding someone worthy of his time. His name is The Riddle"”umm, the Mad Catter, your new archnemesis.
