There are a total of 12 Achievements to unlock in Inspector Waffles Early Days, covering a bunch of activities and challenges. Half of them are solving the main mystery of each case, and the other half are solving the optional tasks the mysterious Mad Catter has in store. Here is our guide to help you unlock the A Hitch In The Plan in Inspector Waffles Early Days.
I will be covering all the Mad Catter tasks located in each of the cases. These tasks need to be completed in order. If you miss the task in case 1, for example, you won't be able to complete the one in case 2. So make sure you follow our guides so you don't miss these side mysteries.
A Hitch In The Plan
Find the Mad Catter's statue arm in Case 3
Things start to heat up in this chapter, where you are finally called to check out your first homicide. The fun part about this is not because someone lost their life, but it's because there's Blockbuster"”I mean Barkbuster.

Some things happen, and you are no longer allowed to investigate the murder. However, there's still something curious about the videotapes in the crime scene. From there, you'll gain access to Barkbuster and then later, the Paw(n) Shop.
The Paw(n) Shop
• Head to the 2nd floor
• Check out the time on the two wrist watches
• Use the item you acquired from Case 2 to activate the cat statue
Once you do, head towards the 2nd floor, and you'll see Spike's private collection. Check out the counter and investigate two things: The two wrist watches on the left of the cat statue, then the cat statue. The time on the wrist watches is actually the code needed to open the final door (6-1-5-7-4-5), but you'll need to find the door first!

If you completed Case 2's Mad Catter puzzle, you should have the item necessary to activate a hidden switch on the cat statue and reveal a message. A message about another legendary animal's statue, which you'll need to continue the puzzle.
Time For A Treasure Hunt! "” The Legendary Animal
• Fondle the dog's backside
• Read note
Progress through the story, and your clues will take you to a muddy park. As soon as you enter the park, you'll see another statue of a fearsome, ferocious, legendary animal, a doggo.
Inspect the north part of the dog statue to find a note: "It all looks the same, except for one...It even looks like it's missing teeth."

After going through the maze in the park, you'll be forced to go to the next area before you are free to travel at your leisure.
Once you can, the next set of steps is for you to find notes from one place to another by locating them using the clues from the previous note. The note from the dog talks about a place where everything looks the same except for one thing.
Treasure Hunt "” The Shelf With The Missing Teeth
• Go back to Barkbuster
• Look at the shelf on the right side of the room
• Read note
These shelves all look identical, filled to the brim with videos, except for one!

Inspect the shelf missing its teeth and you'll come across another note reading: "Stand in front of the root vegetables and try to find something inside the wall"
Remember that place with the illegal catnip farm? Do you recall some root vegetables there as well? Let's check it out!
Treasure Hunt "” Staring at the root of the problem
• Back to the catnip farm
• Stand directly underneath the root vegetables
• Say hi to the wall
• Read note

They kind of look like frogs to me, but those are the root vegetables we are looking for. Stand in front of the wall right underneath it and interact with it. Upon doing so, you'll find your final note:
"Soil, light, and water are necessary for...my growth. But if one of them is missing..."
It sounds to me, that we are looking for a plant, one that isn't doing very well, since one of them requirements for grown is missing.
Treasure Hunt "” Planting evidence
• Head back to victim's apartment
• Admire the sad plant
• Find final clue
Looking for a dead plant might be a little bit tougher to remember naturally. Luckily, you're reading this guide!

Remember that place where you snoop inside the victim's home". The area outside that cat's apartment is a lonely plant, that looks like a cane, with no leaves left. This is the final clue!
The Destination "” You were just a Paw(n)!
• Go back to the Paw(n) Shop
• Head to the door beside the shop
• Enter the wrist watch times as the 6-digit code
• Hang out with the Mad Catter
It turns out, the location of the door we need, wasn't very hidden to begin with! It was right beside where we initially found the cat statue as well as the code to enter it!
Head back to the Paw(n) Shop and instead of going inside, look to the building left of it. The door is now accessible to us and it's time to input a code.

The pin pad has symbols above it that gives you an idea on what the code would be. However, we've had this information all this time (because I so graciously told you to make note of it, you're welcome!). This time, it's a 6-digit code that is taken from the time indicated by the wrist watch. The time on the watch were 6:15 & 7:45, making the 6-digit code: 6-1-5-7-4-5.

Inside, you'll see the Mad Catter flustered with ensuring that the room is in tip-top shape, just for you. However, it isn't but I think he's still really proud that you've managed to solve his puzzle once again. Grab the statue arm on the ground, pop your achievement, and continue on with the rest of the case!
