Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants – Gladiator Maze Puzzle Walkthrough

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's first major DLC has arrived. With The Order Of Giants comes a new adventure for Indy to go out on and of course it comes with it new collectibles, puzzles, achievements and more! But don't worry we have you covered with everything you need. This guide will help you solve the Gladiator puzzle in order to progress the story.

The gladiator puzzle requires you to first find the gladiators sword and place it in its hand and then guide some fireballs through the mazes. The sword can be found to the right of the Gladiator. Use your whip to climb the wall and to the right will be the blade.

Take the blade back down to the gladiator and place it in its hand. From here you can use your whip on the gladiators now raised arm which will shoot a fireball around the maze’s 4 sections. The trick here however is that you need to do the maze paths in a specific order.

The order is as follows when looking head on at the gladiator:

Lion Shield (top left)
Boar Shield (bottom left)
Tiger Shield (top right)
Bear Shield (bottom right)

In order to get the fireballs to go where you want them to there are 2 curved pieces and 1 straight piece that you can move around within the floor to guide the fire where you want it to go. You also have to do it all in one go so you can’t simply finish 1 statue then move on to the next meaning we will have to move pieces on the go.

Solution

Take the first curved piece out of the spot in front of the gladiator and turn it to the left.

Take the second curved piece and move it to the second spot also turning to the left.

Then take the straight piece and make it go horizontal. Now go to the gladiator and pull the arm with your whip.

As soon as the fire passes through the first piece you put down take it out and turn it so that is is attached to the bottom path and going to the left.

Now once it moves through the straight piece you can quickly pick it up and move it to the direct right of the lion statue vertically (down).

Once it passes through the lion statue and through the straight piece pick it up once again and move it be vertically in between the lion and boar statue (bottom left).

After it passes through the straight piece pick it up and move it so that it's vertical on the second spot to the right of the lion statue.

Once it passes through the next curved piece pick it up and move it to where we first put the straight piece just below the lion statue. Attach it so it will move the fireball upwards.

From here wait for the ball to move through the next curved piece and then you can pick it up and put it in the spot next to the lion so that it makes a right hand turn.

Go back and wait for it to pass through the previous curved piece and once it does take it to the slot beside the straight piece that's to the right of the lion and left of the tiger. Angle it to go upwards so that it will then go on the path to the tiger statue.

Now take the furthest back curved piece out of its slot after the ball has gone through and place it in the first slot in front of the tiger statue. Have it so that it is making the ball move down to the right if facing the statue.

Immediately after it passes through this curved piece pick it up and change its position so that the ball will move up and to the left.

Now head back to the previous curved piece and move it within the same slot so that its now making the ball go up and to the left. You can also go and remove the straight one from the previous slot and just throw it on the ground for now.

The ball should have probably passed through the previous curve by now so run back to it and place it where you just pulled the straight piece from. Angle it so that the ball will snake all the way around and head back down to the right.

Once it passes through the furthest back curved piece pick it up and run it over to the spot closest to the bottom right statue and angle the piece down and to the right which will make the ball head towards the last statue.

Once the ball goes into the last statue the puzzle should be complete and the Emperor Nero statue will lower behind the gladiator with the Cylinder piece in hand.

This was quite the tricky puzzle due to how finicky the pieces were with placement and how quickly you needed to move them at times. Hopefully this guide helped you navigate it easily.
