Back in June we got a first glimpse at IO Interactive’s newest game 007 First Light. That glimpse was just a bit of a tease and we haven’t heard or seen much since. That’s all about to change later this week.
This morning PlayStation announced that they will be hosting a State Of Play event on September 3rd that is all about 007 First Light. The State Of Play is said to be about 30 minutes and will showcase James Bond first ever mission as an MI6 recruit. Expect to see some shootouts, high speed car chases and some stealth sequences.
The development team will be the one taking us through all this action at 11am PT / 8am EST / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST. Many are excited to see more as IO Interactive is most known for the Hitman series and a James Bond game seems to fit right into their wheelhouse.

What we don’t know at the moment is if we will receive anymore information about the game. We know from that initial reveal trailer that the game is expected to release sometime in 2026. Will we get anything more narrowed down for that? The first trailer also introduced us to M and Q, will we meet anymore characters or learn more about either of these? We shall find out Wednesday.
Additionally it doesn't appear that this State Of Play will feature any other games, so if you were expecting a mini showcase like presentation similar to previous State Of Plays it seems like that won't be the case.
