The Pokemon franchise has always been about evolution, and the latest trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A is proving that evolution is big, mega even, for a longtime fan favourite. Today we got a look at the Hawlucha’s mega-evolved form.
The Hawlucha is a wrestling and flying type Pokémon that was first discovered in the Kalos region. Its Mega evolved version is quite the menacing looking Pokémon. With an impressive six pack it is bulked up to take on the likes of Machamp in the new trailer. Mega Hawlucha is the 51st Mega evolved Pokémon and will make its debut in Pokémon Legends Z-A when it releases on October 16th.

The Mega Hawlucha looks much more striking with its new look inspired by luchadores and superheroes. It is said to be able to take many blows with ease, suggesting it will have a very high HP bar. With its signature move being the “Flying Press” it will lure in its foes with its ability to take a lot of damage and then strike with intense force.
Fans for years have been hoping to see a more powerful version of the Hawlucha, and today’s announcement seems to be a positive one within the community. Having been a fan favourite since its debut in Pokémon X and Y in 2013, the Mega Hawlucha will sure to be a frequently used Pokémon in Legends Z-A.
We won’t have to wait too much longer to see how the Mega Hawlucha does in battle. Pokémon Legends Z-A will launch on the Nintendo Swich and Nintendo Switch 2 October 16th.
