What is a mobster without money? Like many mob games, money is power and in Mafia: The Old Country you are going to need a lot of it if you want to unlock some more powerful weapons, cars and of course, achievements/trophies. Thats where we come in. We have a guide here that will show you the easiest way to get money fast.
Money in Mafia: The Old Country doesn’t exactly come in quickly. You gain money by scavenging dead bodies and by finding small boxes around the world. Typically you will find 30-70 everytime you pickpocket a body. The boxes can net you upwards of 100.
Fortunately reloading checkpoints, whether because you died or reloaded on your own, lets you keep any money you just picked up. So as you naturally play the game you will probably earn a few thousand. But you are now done with the campaign and you want to quickly get the cash to go for achievements/trophies such as The Finer Things, Driving In Style and the various weapon kill related ones? Heres the easiest way to get all the cash required.
Purchase the Imperituri
This first step is totally optional but worth it in my opinion. The Imperituri knife in the Stiletto class earns you extra money from opening boxes. While it costs $500 to purchase, it’s definitely worth the investment. If you don’t its fine, but it will slow down this method a little bit. If you want to buy it just head to explore mode and head to your stash and buy it.

Method: Reload Chapter 7
What you want to do replay chapter 7. If you haven’t got this far in the game yet, you probably shouldn’t worry about money just yet. Replay chapter 7 and quickly skip the first two cutscenes.
You will now be in a garage and Cesare will be asking you to step out front. Ignore him and instead turn around 180 degrees. To your right will be a box on a bench. Go over and break it open with your knife.

Then turn around again and head across to the other side of the garage where you will see a bunch of cars. Upon entering make an immediate left and walk to the front of this section of the garage to find another box to break open.

If you purchased the Imperituri knife you should have just earned around $275-300. If you didn’t purchase the knife you probably earned closer to $100. You now want to reload the checkpoint and do these same steps again and again until you think you have enough money.
Considering you will need to get about $15,000-20,000 in order to unlock everything, this is going to take a few reloads. 50 reloads will get you about 15k with the Imperituri, 10k without it. This isn’t the most entertaining method, but it certainly is the quickest!
For reference you will need $11,000 to unlock all cars. Weapons you can pick up off of enemies to help with kills but you will likely need to at least buy some which will set you back anywhere between 2k and 8k. And you will need a bit of cash to change the paint on your car as well.

Hopefully this method will help you speed up the process to get you to your completion. Like I said, it’s not going to be overly exciting but it will get the job done. Good luck!
