As we saw during last week’s announcement, Helldivers 2 and Halo: ODST are meeting up! That’s right! In conjunction with the launch on Xbox, Helldivers 2 is offering up a merge with this beloved Halo game.
But that’s not at all! Today, Xbox announced an exclusive Warbond coming on August 26th.
In this new video drop, we are greeted with the classic Halo: ODST drop into one of the war-ravaged worlds of the Helldivers 2 universe. This new feature also provides a sneak peek at some of the items available in this coming Warbond!
More on the Coming Collaboration
In the world of Helldivers 2, ODST has a very different meaning: “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers”. Because again, what is democracy without the utmost obedience!
Let’s dive more into the new goodies that we’re getting as part of this Warbond. And boy is it expansive! Four new weapons, two new armor sets, and more!

The largest hype around this Warbond will be the inclusion of some of the classic Halo: ODST weapons, including:
- MA5C Assault Rifle – The iconic rifle of the series and reliable in any scenario where humanity is threatened. Here’s a neat little perk, too: a built-in ammo counter and compass!
- M7S SMG – Silent. Deadly. And ready to liberate the worlds under oppression!
- M90A Shotgun – A new shotgun available to new Helldivers, with a mounted flashlight for nighttime combat.
- M6C/SOCOM Pistol – This standard-issue ODST sidearm will be your ally on the field. Equipped with a laser sight, a flashlight, as well as a suppressor (a first in the Helldivers armory).
Also coming within the new Warbond will be several sets of Halo: ODST armor, including:
- A-9 Helljumper – Featured at the New Mombasa Armor Show with its sleek design (and classic Halo helmet)
- A-35 Recon – With improvements made to the shoulder protection of this armor, this new build will surely become a classic in spreading Managed Democracy.
- Feet First Armor Passive – This new feature will be a component of both of the above-noted Armor Sets. Some of the cool passives: less movement noise, immunity to leg injuries, and increases in the range for discovering points of interest.
There will also be several Halo: ODST-inspired capes for Helldivers (Honored Heirloom Cape and the Eye of the Clandestine Cape), along with ODST-themed player cards. Also featured will be a new player title, “Rookie”, and a new vehicle pattern: Mean Green.
More Warbond Specifics
