Jyamma Games, the Milan-based game developer behind 2024’s Enotria: The Last Song, has revealed its next title, La Divina Commedia.
Check out our Enotria: The Last Song Review to get our full thoughts on the game.
Unveiled as a world premiere at Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event earlier today, La Divina Commedia is an action RPG deeply rooted in Italian culture and heavily inspired by the works of Italy’s greatest poet, Dante Alighieri.

Here is a plot summary of La Divina Commedia via a press release we received shortly after the reveal:
“In this new adventure, the studio presents an epic journey set in a world where The Divine Comedy has supplanted the old faith, bringing about a golden age of righteousness among humanity. When dark forces subvert the promises of the poem, order collapses, and the world is thrust into chaos. The player will take on the role of a warrior-poet trapped in the infernal depths, called to descend through the circles of Hell, face increasingly powerful demons, and redeem a sinful past.”
Players can expect more of the same sun-drenched aesthetics seen in Enotria: The Last Song, mixed with dark fantasy elements, coupled with visceral hack-and-slash gameplay.
Some La Divina Commedia Key Features:
- Unique gameplay mechanics for each weapon class.
- Procedurally generated extraction dungeons.
- A narrative-driven alignment system tied to the Seven Deadly Sins.
- The ability to forge fully customizable weapons and armor, both in stats and aesthetics.
Another detail highlighted in the press release is that Jyamma Games is promising high-fidelity graphics and animations created with the help of the same studio that provided the cutting-edge motion capture system used in titles like Phantom Blade Zero.

“With this new ‘Canto’, Jyamma Games reaffirms its commitment to bringing Italian culture and art to the international gaming scene, continuing a journey based on experimentation, identity, and passion, and confirming its desire to stand out in an increasingly flourishing and competitive landscape.”
La Divina Commedia currently has no release date and is slated to launch on PC and consoles. For more information on the game, consider joining the game’s official Discord.
