Hangar 13 is back with its latest Mafia adventure with Mafia: The Old Country. The Old Country is filled with many collectibles and missable achievements/trophies. With our guides you will hopefully be able to avoid missing anything and having to head back. This guide will help you earn the “Good As New” achievement/trophy.

Carcyclopedia Method

Unlocking the Good As New achievement/trophy requires you to fix a car using the crank. While the ability to drive a car doesn’t happen until later in the game, there is a simple way to unlock Good As New as soon as you complete chapter 2, and you can use this method at any point after then.

Once you’ve completed the second chapter of the game the carcyclopedia will unlock in the main menu. Simply back out to the main menu, head to the carcyclopedia and select a car you want and it will give you the option to load into the game with that car.

It should be noted if you are doing this after chapter 2 you may not have any cars unlocked. If you link your 2K account you will be given the Garzia Tumulto as a gift. Otherwise you will have to wait until you have a car to use this method.

Once in the game just start smashing up the car by driving into things until you can’t drive it anymore.

From here simply hop out of the car and head to the front and it will prompt you to fix it. You will have to complete a simple mini game first. Doing so will unlock the achievement/trophy.

Regular Method

Of course, if you don’t want to use this method you can just wait until you get a car in the normal progression of the game broken and fix it as I’m sure at some point you will wreck a car. But this is the simplest method.
