Formula Legends Races To The Track This September

Developer 3DClouds has revealed the release date for its slick open-wheel sim-cade racer. Focused on an approachable yet challenging experience, Formula Legends will release on September 18th.

How is a racing game approachable yet challenging you might be asking. Well 3DClouds is making sure players of all skill levels can enjoy Formula Legends with its blend of arcade and sim gameplay, with optional driving assists that will allow even the most novice of racers take to the track.

Formula Legends looks to provide a fresh take on the racing genre

The team behind Formula Legends prides themselves on their extensive knowledge and passion for motorsports, and it shines through with the game. While the game is called Formula Legends, it isn’t a completely licensed game. This means that tracks, drivers, teams and cars are all playfully inspired by racing's past and present. Think Super Mega Baseball before MLB got involved.

For those looking for the more intense version of racing, the simulation mode will definitely be up their alley. Tyre-wear, fuel consumption, track evolution, damage simulation and changeable racing conditions will give Formula Legends a “sim-cade” like feel, blending the 2 different types of racing.

Priced at £19.99 GBP / $19.99 USD / €19.99 EUR it isn’t just the gameplay that is approachable, with a great price of entry.

Demo Available Coming August 6th

For those who simply can’t wait until September 18th, or just want to check out the game before release, a new demo is dropping tomorrow for the game. The demo is available on PC, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.

Leading the pack

"Formula Legends has evolved massively since we announced the game earlier in the year and this new demo is another opportunity for us to learn and evolve the experience as we accelerate to launch," said Francesco Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds. "Formula Legends has been a labour of love for the entire team as we're all massive motorsport fans, and we know that anyone who shares that level of passion will cherish their time with our game."

3DClouds has been taking a lot of feedback from the community since the games announcement earlier this year. Formula Legends will feature improved AI and handling, making each race more compelling.

With 3DClouds having made many arcade racers in the past including Paw Patrol World, Transformers: Galactic Trials, Hot Wheels: Monster Trucks Stunt Mayhem, Formula Legends falls right in their wheelhouse. They also developed the recently released Trident’s Tale which we enjoyed
