Do you remember those logic puzzles from math class when you were a kid? I do, and I loved them. Have you ever pondered if that kind of "puzzle" could translate into the digital world? It does, and wonderfully so, with Is This Seat Taken?
In Is This Seat Taken?, play the loving caretaker of the many peculiar people of a small town in their day-to-day lives, from taking a bus to going to the movies, to seeing a concert. Each cute little sprite has its own wants, as well as quirks, that will provide a challenge in ensuring that everyone is happy.

Ragamuffins have escaped into the human realm, and it’s your job to catch them and clean up the poopy mess they made. Yip, that’s right, these cute little things make one hell of a mess.

NODE: The Last Favor of the Antarii
- Developer & Publisher: Lapsus Games
- Release Date: Q3 2025
- Platforms: PC(Steam), PS5, Xbox Series
If there's something I can't get enough of, it's Cold War history. NODE is a 2.5D puzzle complex set in a Soviet bunker full of unease. We play as NODE, a robot sent to the complex to discover what's been happening and save it from potential nuclear catastrophe.
The game has Inside-like visuals, but is rather different mechanically. All of our moves are plotted out on a movement timeline, meaning we have to calculate how far to move before jumping, swerving out of harm’s way, or dodging deadly robots. Whilst it takes a little while to understand the mechanics, the comprehensive demo was fun to play and left me wanting to play more later this year.

Hoard's LLC: Limited Labyrinth Corporation
- Developer & Publisher: Cephalopod Ink
- Release Date: 2025
- Platforms: PC(Steam)
Have you ever wondered what that Minotaur in that Labyrinth does when you're not trying to get out? Why, they're managing their LLC and ensuring that that maze always is on the up-and-up (and safe)! Hoard's LLC is a strategy puzzle game where you'll rotate dungeon tiles and avoid hazards to get Aldebaran Aberdeen (Barry, for short) to the exit of the maze.
Despite the cute environs (sans the spike traps), things are not so good at Hoard's LLC. In the words of the game's Steam page:
Corporate policy says, “avoid unnecessary cross-departmental entanglements” "”Barry says, “maybe it’s time to unionize.”

Bleak Haven
- Developer & Publisher: Hitori De Productions
- Release Date: 2025
- Platforms: PC(Steam)
Solo developer Hitori De Productions has given us a glimpse of their new Cinematic Psychological Horror Experience, Bleak Haven, and boy oh boy, it’s Bleak. The demo has us exploring an abandoned Island full of grotesque walking horrors that we must bash, slash, and stab to destroy. Like all good survival horror games, there are puzzles and inventory management, but what sets this apart is the brutal melee combat. Sure, you have guns, but what good are they when you have no ammo? Grab that mace and start swinging.
Bleak Haven only has a 2025 release window, but I’m hooked and can’t wait for more. A demo is available on Steam, as well as a few other titles from Hitori De Productions.
Demo available on PC(Steam).
Absolum
- Developer: Guard Crush, Supamonks, Dotemu
- Publisher: Dotemu, Gamirror Games
- Release Date: 2026
- Platforms: PC(Steam)
Absolum drops you into a fantasy roguelite brawler with style and chaos to spare. You play as one of three surviving mages – Karl, Galandra, or Cider – each with a unique combat flavour, from fists-first brawling to airborne magic and swordplay laced with necromancy. The Grandery region sets the stage, a battlefield crawling with goblins, dwarves, and humans under the reign of Sun King Azra.
Combat flows fast and punchy, offering dodges, deflections, beast mounting, and flashy Arcana powers. With a roguelite structure, each run mixes up encounters, paths, and upgrades, while rituals and rebel allies boost your strength across sessions.
Whether solo or with online allies, Absolum's demo serves up arcade action with modern flair. If you're into beat 'em ups that pack depth and replayability, this is one to keep on your radar.
