Blades of Fire Gets New 1.4 Patch

Blades of Fire developer MercurySteam has dropped Hotfix 1.4 for Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, targeting a range of player-reported issues and bringing in a fresh layer of polish across UI, gameplay, and visual design.

The notable QoL changes include, Epic users being able to switch languages from the main menu, and all players can now customise enemy outline colours for better visual clarity. Improvements have been made to HUD alerts, health bars, and forge menus, while bug fixes address a host of issues from camera stutters to King Ashkhanar’s misfiring attacks.

On the gameplay front, players will notice smoother enemy animations and better handling of mission objectives. Cavimo Rex’s respawn rate has been balanced, and Queleas are now rewarded during the first Aecides encounter. Plus, you can preview steel stats without crafting requirements – a subtle but welcome tweak for planners.

The update also tidies up several terrain and collision issues, camera transitions, and LOD inconsistencies, while smoothing out the music system and overall game stability.
