Developer Thunderful Games have confirmed that well-regarded indie, Viewfinder is coming to new platforms this year.
Starting with a release on Xbox Series X/S (and PC via Play Anywhere) on August 12 2025, with a Switch released planned for "˜winter'. Xbox players can wishlist the game now, a price is currently TBC. On Xbox the game supports 4K visuals, 60fps and cloud saves to support Play Anywhere. There is currently no mention of the game arriving in Game Pass.
The mind-bending first person adventure game that tasks players to reshape reality with photographs, paintings and more has been on PlayStation and PC for a couple of years.
The game received two BAFTA Game Awards in 2024 for Best British Game and Best New IP. The title also sits at a highly respectable 84 on Metacritic.
Now, new players will be able to experience the game for the first time. Viewfinder asks players to: "Challenge perception, redefine reality, and reshape the world around you with an instant camera. Viewfinder is a new single player game offering gamers hours of interesting and fun experiences while uncovering the mysteries left behind."
If you're a PC player, Viewfinder currently has a big discount on Steam until 31 July.
