Two Point Museum is a cracking addition to the Two Point Studios lineup of management sims. We gave it a 8.5 in our review and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying jumping back in and discovering new exhibits when I’ve got time between battling the backlog.
I hadn’t quite ran out of new things to find and display but if you have – good news! The team over at Two Point Studios has released the first paid DLC for Two Point Museum – Fantasy Finds! So gather up your adventuring party and lets go slay that dragon. Wait. What?
Museum Master’s Guide
Fantasy Finds is a new expedition map ready for you to dive into as soon as you’ve completed the first part of the tutorial. I would recommend getting to grips with standard Museum management first, as in order to unlock a lot of it you’ll need quite a bit of kit, and a good amount of profit to fund all your new experts.

It introduces a new set of experts, Fantasy Experts. Unlike the experts for the other areas (Prehistoric, Botany, etc) these guys have subclasses; Barbarian, Wizard, Rogue or Bard. Do you see where this is going? Yep – you’re very own D&D adventure inside Two Point Museum. Like the other experts they’ll restore any Fantasy Exhibits you find, analyse excess ones to increase your knowledge and can give tours of your Three-Handed Swords and Hanging Tapestries. Unlike your other experts, when they level up they’ll gain stats – Strength, Dex, Int and Luck. They’ll need to put those stats to the test in a lot of your excursions in order to find exhibits and tackle danger!
A Game Within a Game
You can upgrade your Party stats by levelling them up – which works the same as the base game – and you’ll want to level them up as much as possible before taking on a lot of the excursions you unlock. There’s new skills to teach them too; like Potion Master so you can brew up some concoctions to help you on your travels. It’s a fun addition to the main gameplay loop, although unlike actual D&D it’ll be going on in the background as you manage your museum.

There are decisions to be made on these new Fantasy Finds expeditions, some of which will tickle fans of the genre. Very early on I came across a talking chest, and due to my extensive time in both D&D and Dark Souls I gave it a wide berth. There was also an option to check it out using a Draconic Wisdom check that I hadn’t unlocked yet, but you will gain these perks as you progress.

There’s also some pretty extreme consequences for some decisions that I won’t spoil here, but just make sure you’re appropriately levelled and geared up for your excursions into Scorched Earth! I learned this the hard way and lost a few of my Fantasy Experts to the frequent MIA threats scattered across the expedition. Staff going missing in action was one of my least favourite parts of the base game, and it’s back with avengence here. I get it from a D&D theme perspective, but losing a highly trained staff member to random event just feels bad. Especially now that the stats matter and you’ll need to grind out lower danger areas to level your new recruits back up to snuff.
Ooh Shiny!
On the museum side Fantasy Finds introduces a whole host of new exhibits that are super fun; the previous mentioned Three Handed Sword, a huge chest full of gold and the ominously named Devilish Door. A lot of them have positive/negative effects depending on how grubby they get, so you’ll want a talented restorer on hand at all times. There’s a host of new decorations to unlock to, and some interactive displays that can only be found by analysing your duplicates.

As with the main game, you’ll also need other experts to help out on certain expeditions, so pick a museum you want to show off a host of different things in so you can have a sprawling wing full of fantasy exhibits for your guest to enjoy.
Final Thoughts
Two Point Museum Fantasy Finds is a fun new addition to the Two Point Museum experience. The emphasis on sending your adventuring party out to explore, slay dragons and bring back new shiny objects to show off really offers a fresh experience for players that may now be well into micromanagement mode. New players might be a little overwhelmed if they jump in too early but if they take the time to explore the base game before hand they’ll quickly get the hang of it. The only downside for me is a carry over from the base game, losing staff isn’t that fun and it’s compounded here by the party stats system.

Two Point Museum Fantasy Finds releases on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S from the 17th of July 2025. It’s priced at $7.99/£10.49 with a 10% discount for the first week. All players can play up to the first three points of interest of Fantasy Finds for free, as a DLC taster, as part of the base game.
