Pokemon TCG Pocket is Getting an Update to Help Traders

The mobile game Pokemon TCG Pocket came out almost a year ago and is still out there staying strong. With 100 million downloads and 8.1 million active monthly users, its safe to say Pokemon TCG Pocket isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

So many quality of life improvements have been made to keep their player base. Ranked Tournaments, new card sets, and trading! However, the trading system in place has left many people disappointed with how limiting and confusing it is. Not to mention, you will need to shred cards for Trade Tokens that enable you to actually trade with someone. This is just one of twelve currencies in the game. Can we stop with the over excessive amounts of in-game currencies already?

Thankfully the Trade Tokens are going to be scrapped and replaced with Shinedust soon. An update coming on July 29th is set to not only take away Trade Tokens, but also add a Wishlist Feature. The Wishlist Feature gives players the ability to indicate to others what cards you are interested in receiving in exchange for a trade.

How exactly the Wishlist Feature will play out is still in question. Will you only be able to trade a wishlist card for another wishlist card or will someone still be able to trade you something you don’t necessarily want?

We will find out the results on July 30th. Yes, you read that right. The update comes July 29th, however, the trading system will be down for maintenance July 25th through the 30th.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available to download for free today on iOS and Android Devices.
