Analogue is a company known for two things. The high quality of their retro clone consoles and delaying the release of said consoles. It would appear that all of this will seemingly continue. This story requires a quick history lesson. Last year in October, we reported on Analogues announcement that they were producing a console that you could play your old Nintendo 64 cartridges on that would upscale the games to 4k, along with being about to be plugged into a modern television. Fast-forward to March 18th of this year, and Analogue delayed the system on release day and gave a new launch window of July of 2025, which is the month we are currently in.

Yesterday, July 14th, 2025, the twitter/X account for the Retro Dodo News site and YouTube channel ran a story on how a user by the name of TouchGen tagged them with a response email from customer support claiming that the system would indeed ship at the end of this month as intended.

That brings us to today, July 15th, 2025. Analogue put out a Statement on their Twitter/X account stating that the system is now delayed until last August of this year. “Following last week’s sudden tariff changes, Analogue 3d will now begin shipping next month(August),” the statement reads. “We’re absorbing the costs-your preorder price stays the same. No additional charges. Late August, the wait ends: reviews go live with everything we’ve been saving for this moment.”

In the comments section of the above post, Analogue has stated, “If you’d like to cancel your preorder at any time for a full refund, contact support”. I have taken the liberty of putting the support link here, should you be someone who has pre-ordered this console and would like a refund.
