For those of us lucky enough (not me) to have gotten a Nintendo Switch 2, we’re eating good right now. In the wave of new titles for the Switch 2, Arc System Works has thrown their hat in the ring. The title: Dear Me, I Was…
In the announcement trailer, we see some beautiful renderings of a young girl and her family. We are also provided glimpses into this young girl growing up and experiencing, well, the struggles of growing up. The developers note that the player will relive the life of a woman. You’ll experience her joy, her sorrow, and her growth through her non-extraordinary life. You’ll also see her story that she creates interconnect with those around her.
Arc System Works & Dear Me, I Was…
Arc System Works notes the game will be releasing in summer 2025. In their release trailer, Arc System notes that Dear Me, I Was… will be a noted immersive adventure story that is combined with beautiful visuals. Specifically, the game will be featuring the watercolor styles of Taisuke Kanasaki, combined with rotoscoping technology (which I had to look up).
Arc System Works have been in the gaming universe since 1988. They are also known for their work on such titles as Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Battletoads, and the Guilty Gear series. Arc System has been in the publisher role since the early 2000’s. They’ve assisted with the launch of such noted titles such as Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters and River City Girls.
