Today on the Xbox Youtube there was another big announcement, to go along with the AMD Partnership and the Rog Xbox Ally handheld we’ve seen over the last few weeks. The first-ever limited edition for the Quest headset line will be in partnership with Xbox; the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition. This release celebrates the ongoing collaboration between the two companies, particularly the expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Quest devices (first announced in 2023).
The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition, available for $399.99 USD/£379.99 UK, features a distinctive design inspired by Xbox's signature aesthetic. The bundle includes a 128GB Meta Quest 3S headset in Xbox Carbon Black and Velocity Green, a set of matching Touch Plus controllers, a limited-edition Xbox Wireless Controller, Meta Quest Elite Strap, three months of Meta Horizon+, and three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
This announcement keeps in with Xbox’s recent marketing of This is an Xbox – highlighting TVs, phones, tablets and headsets as a way to play Xbox games. Using the Xbox app on Quest, players gain access to a wide library of games through Xbox Cloud Gaming and Game Pass Ultimate (providing they have a subscription). As with it’s current iteration on non-limited edition Quest units the app supports cross-play and cross-progression features which ensures that game progress and achievements are synchronised across the Quest headset, consoles, and PCs.

As noted above, this is the first example of a Limited Edition Meta Quest, and aligns with the Xbox strategy of making Game Pass available on as many devices as possible without developing dedicated VR hardware or software – Xbox games played through the app are not VR versions.
As quoted on the Xbox announced “The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition is available now at meta.com, Best Buy (USA), Argos (UK), and EE (UK), but quantities are extremely limited. Once they're gone, they're gone.”
