Konami and Metal Gear Solid games are no stranger to crossovers. Snake has appeared in Smash Bros and Castlevania characters have appeared across many franchises.
So what's to stop Konami having some fun with crossovers on their own beloved IPs. Well, in a rather strange one Konami have confirmed that an Xbox exclusive mode of Snake vs Bomberman will be part of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater - Xbox gameplay trailer
Just over a minute in to the trailer which shows a variety of action and stealth scenes from the upcoming remake of the 2004 classic, we see Snake starting his hunt of a group of Bombermen. There's even a classic Bomberman zone where we'll play as Snake, dropping bombs whilst on our hunt.

The community had an idea that this crossover would come to fruition, when this image appeared in a previous video upload for the Xbox version:

This is separate to the Ape Escape crossover, Snake vs Monkey will be coming to PlayStation and Steam versions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Fox Hunt
Today, Konami also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will include a multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt. Fox Hunt is entirely different to the fan favourite, Metal Gear Online that appeared in Metal Gear Solid 3, 4 and 5.
Fox Hunt is a "completely original" new mode that will have different gameplay from the single-player campaign. Being different to MGS Online means that the game aims to be a stealth-first game, encouraging players to use a variety of camos to creep around and sneak up on foes.
The multiplayer mode will see players don a variety of interesting camos, from ghillie suits to leaves and much more. The developers promise the game will be much “more than just a shoot out”.
There's only 2 months till launch, so it's likely we'll start to see more on Fox Hunt soon.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has a current release date of August 28 2025. It is one of the most anticipated games of the summer at GSC and we will be bringing you coverage all the way through to launch.
