There were many, many games shown of at Future Games Show today. Games from all genres of the industry with state of the art graphics, intense motion captured major budget looking cut scenes, and heart pounding action but one game in particular seemed to take inspiration from the survival horror games of yesteryear.
Ground Zero is a survival horror game set in a post apocalyptic South Korea. In the game you will “Uncover the truth behind the devastating meteor impact that left the country in ruins and turned every living organism into a terrifying monstrosity. Fight. Solve puzzles. Upgrade gear. Make every bullet count”
This is the first effort from developer Malformation Games, and they look to be tugging on the heart strings of retro gamers with this one. Looking to be heavily inspired by PlayStation survival horror titles like Resident Evil, Ground Zero is all fixed camera angles, inventory management and retro style graphics.
Unfortunately, as it stands, all we know about the release of the game is it’s coming to PC at some point in the future as no date has been revealed just yet. At the time of writing, no console release has been announced, but keep in mind that can always change. Did Ground Zero look like something you’d be into?
