Mundfish, Developers Of Atomic Heart, Are Now A Publisher

Mundfish, the developers of the 2023 first-person shooter RPG Atomic Heart, have announced that they are now a publisher. Officially titled Mundfish Powerhouse, their new publishing label will act as a “boutique creative label built to support ambitious developers and visionary investors in bringing standout projects to market”.

The developers have been quick to clarify that this will be more than just a publishing arm for the studio. They intend to offer “deep production expertise and high-end tools” to their partners, as well as “a proven, scalable development pipeline” and “hands-on support from concept to launch”.

The CEO of Mundfish, Robert Bagratuni, also spoke on how they look at finding appropriate partners. “Powerhouse will only partner with projects where we see great potential to make noise. Not just a handful of indie hits, but big and bold games that can set a new standard for quality and creative risk.”

The team plans to focus on “fewer, bigger, bolder games,” intending to “shake up the industry”.

This news comes hot on the heels of Atomic Heart reaching the milestone achievement of 10 million players across all platforms. In a post made to their social media accounts, the dev team said, “What started as a dream has become a reality beyond anything we imagined. This achievement is the result of our team’s relentless dedication, bold vision, and unwavering focus on quality. But most importantly, thanks to our amazing community. Your passion, creativity, and support have truly brought Atomic Heart to life.”

The studio released the third piece of DLC for Atomic Heart, titled Enchantment Under the Sea, which continued the story of the main game.

It may be some time before we see the sort of games Mundfish Powerhouse will be publishing, but the studio does feature in the first round of Summer Games Fest partners, likely to reveal the fourth and final DLC for Atomic Heart.

It also can’t be overstated how great it is to see Mundfish use their well-earned success to help others, and we wish them the best of luck with their new initiative!
