Sometimes the burnout of being a functioning part of society is real. I truly miss the days where I could lose an entire day wrapped into a video game. Sadly, growing older added more responsibilities and less time for myself, and gaming. When I do get the chance to play, I find myself yearning for a game that feels nostalgic, and brings a sense of peace to my life. Created with those like me, people searching for something that rekindles childhood joy comes Starsand Island by developers Seed Lab.
"Our team created this game because we all feel modern life moves too fast." says producer and creative director Richardo Wang, "We wanted to bring that simple, pure joy from childhood to players overwhelmed by the relentless modern life." Starsand Island, although labeled as one, is much more than a farming sim, but a facilitator of relaxation prioritizing an emotional connection over game stats and captivation over productivity.
Going beyond farming and animal husbandry, Starsand Island allows players to reshape the world with customizability. From houses to furniture, even pathways the world is there to spark your creativity.
Starsand Island also has a lot to explore. The more time and attention you devote into the game and relationships with NPCs, the more surprises you'll uncover. Even fishing up "useless junk" has its purpose!

Inspired by real people, NPCs are complex and have real depth. Gain a sense of belonging within these relationships, platonic or romantic. Go on walks together, watch the sunset, enjoy a day of shopping. Seed Lab wants to make sure players experience more than lines of code, but a vibrant, living world.
Seed Lab has truly incorporated the community's experience in Starsand Island. With promises to optimize multiplayer experience, even creative tools to implement players ideas. Committed to evolving with the community, Starsand Island is an ongoing project. If you're excited for what Starsand Island has to offer, you can check out their kickstarter.
