Every year we see Games Workshop hold an event to celebrate everything Warhammer 40,000. We see some updates on games and even some new announcements and in 2025 we saw plenty of both. Truth be told this may have just been the biggest Warhammer showcase yet.
Warhammer Skulls 2025 featured a whopping 40 minutes dedicated to Warhammer video games. Games Workshop has teamed with many developers and publishers over the years to pump these games out. The Warhammer IP almost feels like a modern Tom Clancy franchise in that sense.
With that said there is a lot to get to here so let's not waste anymore time.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
The show starts with a brand new game! Owlcat Games is returning to the franchise for another role-playing game. They previously put out Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader (more on this later) and with Dark Heresy players will be in charge of an Inquisition acolyte.
Dark Heresy is said to be narrative driven as you lead investigations, uncover grand conspiracies, master tactical combat, and wage a secret war against heresy.
Dark Heresy will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5 though no date was given.
Rogue Trader Next Expansion Coming Next Month
Speaking of Owlcat Games, their other Warhammer game, Rogue Trader, which released in 2023 is getting its second major expansion soon. The expansion is titled Lex Imperialis and is dropping on June 24th. The Arbites will be able to call upon and command a Cyber-Mastiff as they enforce the Imperial law of Lex Imperialis. The Arbites will also have a wide variety of new weapons, many of which will be great for crowd control.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is available right now on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5. It’s also included in Xbox Game Pass.

Mechanicus 2 Gets New Trailer
The Warhammer game that is currently scheduled to release later in 2025 showed up to the party to show off a new trailer. Kasedo Games & Bulwark Studios showed off the latest trailer that shows us the Leagues of Votann.
What their role is in this turn-based game remains unclear, but it adds yet another layer to the interesting story within Mechanicus. This is the first time the Leagues of Votann has shown up in a video game. Why are they here and who’s side are they on? We will have to wait to find out.

Relic Entertainment is bringing Dawn of War up to speed on modern PCs with the definitive edition. Space Marine 2 Siege Mode Teased
In a free update coming next month, Space Marine 2 will see its own version of the popular horde mode with a new Siege mode. As if Space Marine 2 didn’t already feel like Gears of War as it is, the new mode made popular by the iconic Gears will see players fend of waves of enemies.
Space Marine Also Getting Remastered
In perhaps the biggest news of the day, they did save it until the end after all, Titus’s original voyage is being remastered for PC and Xbox Series consoles. The remastered version includes reworked audio, better textures, 4K graphics, and more making it the absolute best way to experience Space Marine.
It’s a little surprising that if they were going to do this, they didn’t do it before the release of Space Marine 2. Perhaps they just didn’t realize how big the the Space Marine IP is. Space Marine 2 has gone on to sell 6 million copies in just a few months and has been one of the bigger success stories of 2024.
It should also be noted that the first Space Marine game was published by Sega where as Space Marine 2 was made by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Interactive.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition is coming to Xbox and PC on June 10, 2025. It’ll also be available day one in Xbox Game Pass. While there is currently no mention of PlayStation we wouldn’t be shocked to see it added in the coming days.
