The follow-up to 2021’s Lost in Random, The Eternal Die is releasing on June 17th on PC, Xbox One & Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Watch the Lost in Random: The Eternal Die release date trailer below.

The game will have a digital standard edition, which will retail at a discounted price of $22.49 / €22.49 / £17.99, with a digital Fortune edition at $24.64 / €24.64 / £23.99. Fans can pre-order the game across all release platforms from today, ensuring they are ready to roll… some dice.

The Lost in Random: The Eternal Die Fortune edition includes a digital original artbook, exclusive soundtrack, and wardrobe expansion cosmetic DLC. It also allows players to start playing the game on June 13th; that is 4 days of early access.

For those who don’t know, The Eternal Die is an isometric action roguelike game where you play as a young Queen Aleksandra, the first game’s antagonist, and her dice companion Fortune. Trapped inside the Black Die by Mare the Knight, they must fight through randomly generated levels, collecting better gear and using cards to perform powerful attacks.

Key Features (As listed on the game’s Steam Page):

  • Fast-paced, second-to-second combat that blends real-time action with tactical decision-making.
  • A unique dice-roll mechanic that shifts battles in unexpected ways.
  • Four diverse and fully upgradeable weapons, each with distinct playstyles.
  • 100+ elemental relics and 15 powerful card-based abilities to customise your build.
  • Four randomly-generated biomes filled with secrets, enemies, and high-stakes challenges.
  • 30+ unique enemy types and 4 ruthless world bosses, each demanding skill and strategy.
  • Randomly generated encounters, evolving relic synergies, and adjustable difficulty settings let you play your way.
  • A dark fantasy world brought to life in a Burtonesque style featuring hauntingly beautiful environments and an enchanting soundtrack.

The shift to action roguelike gameplay may put off some who were big fans of the original game’s 3rd-person approach. Fortunately, there is a demo you can try for free, which we highlighted in our April issue of the GSC Demo Disc.
