One of the most popular idle time killers on Steam is coming to current-gen consoles. Cookie Clicker comes to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5, Switch and Switch 2 soon.

The game originally released in 2013 as a web browser game (which you can still play, for free) before making its way to Steam in 2021 where it currently holds an "˜Overwhelmingly Positive' review score.
The Steam listing for the page describes the game as "Cookie Clicker is a game about making an absurd amount of cookies. To help you in this endeavor, you will recruit a wide variety of helpful cookie makers, like friendly Grandmas, Farms, Factories, and otherworldly Portals.
Cookie Clicker was originally released in 2013, but has been very actively developed since then. If you played it before, try it again to see all the new features!". Somehow, the game has 500+ Steam achievements, I'm unsure if Sony or Microsoft will allow such absurdity on their platforms.
The slightly controversial game isn't exactly friendly to the environment and people's energy bills as you're required to leave the game running to maintain your progress. You may want to seek the utility bill payers permission before installing.
Cookie Clicker will come to consoles next week, 22 May 2025. A Switch 2 launch will assumedly come around the time of the console's launch. Currently the Switch e-shop lists the game for $4.99 USD.
