The Sinking City Remastered Released Today, Upgrade For Free

Frogwares, the Ukrainian game studio behind The Sherlock Holmes games, just released The Sinking City Remastered, which they only announced a few weeks ago with no release date.

The Sinking City Remastered got a release trailer covering all of the improvements made to the game, which you can watch below.

The trailer does an excellent job of comparing the original and the remaster, highlighting the addition of 4K textures, improved lighting, a photomode, and more. The team over at Frogwares has put in the work, fully rebuilding the game in Unreal Engine 5, and it shows!

Originally released in 2019, the Lovecraftian survival horror series has been getting a lot of recent buzz after the Kickstarter for The Sinking City 2 was funded within the first day. By the end of the campaign, the game had received 550% of its goal, a clear indicator that the fanbase wants more grisly 1920s era cosmic horror.

The Sinking City Remastered is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. Fans of The Sinking City who still own the game on any of these platforms can download the update for free! For those who are interested but don’t own the original, there is a nifty 50% sale on Steam to entice you further into the clutches of the Great Ones.
