Rare seems to never sleep when it comes to Sea Of Thieves. With recently added cosmetics with Destiny and South Of Midnight themed cosmetics, there’s always something going on out on the seas. Today they’ve given new details about the upcoming Season 16 update including that it will release on May 22nd.
Season 16 is set to revolve around the Reapers “who are once more out to cause chaos on the Sea of Thieves. The majority of information on this upcoming Season is yet to be revealed, so expect more details in the weeks ahead regarding the Reapers' aggressive ambitions.” This launch will coincide with the Sea Of Thieves release on battle.net. For those who are working towards Renown 100 in Season 15 you may want to pick up the pace as you only have about 2 weeks left to get it done.

Of course with a new season comes a new round of Twitch drops which will happen from May 23rd – 26th. For those unaware you can earn these Twitch dropsby linking your accounts and watching any participating Sea of Thieves streamer on Twitch. Any of the streamers in the Partner Directory will likely be supporting this.
New Art Book On The Way
Also in May we see the release of a second Sea Of Thieves artbook “The Art Of Piracy”. This book is a follow up to the 2018 “The Art Of Sea Of Thieves” and will showcase all the developments in the game the last 7 years featuring artwork for characters, ships, weapons, threats, pets and much more. The Art Of Piracy releases May 20th

And lastly the Festival of Fishing event will be ending soon on May 12th. This event sees two limited time voyages and allows players to turn in fish to the Hunters Call Guild for double the gold and reputation. Additionally, the event has a set of goals for pirates to aim for, handing in a variety of different fish to complete said goals.
