The hits just keep on coming when it comes to Xbox Game Pass doesn’t it? After a banner month in April with South Of Midnight, Commandos Origins, Blue Prince, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, things aren’t slowing down at all in May with multiple day 1 games headed to the service.
Today via the Xbox blog, we have learned what games will be dropping into the service for the first half of May.

- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) - May 7
- Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) - May 7
Now with Game Pass Standard - Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) - May 7
Now with Game Pass Standard - Metal Slug Tactics (Console) - May 7

- Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (Cloud, Console, and PC) - May 20
Revenge Of The Savage Planet will be the first day one game pass game due out this month, dropping on May 8th. The game is a sequel to 2020’s Journey To The Savage Planet that in my opinion is quite underrated. We have already reviewed it and think it's definitely worth a look.

Of course the biggest game in Game Pass this month is iD’s Doom: The Dark Ages which drops on May 15th. The game is the first Doom game since Bethesda was purchased by Microsoft and appears to be much larger than the previous Doom games. Xbox is banking a lot on the success of The Dark Ages, for good reason, and it’s even launching on PlayStation 5 as well. With Xbox’s first party output at an all time high, it will be interesting to see how well Doom does in comparison to the other games out this year.
A third day 1 game, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo drops a day later on the 16th. A smaller indie from publisher Fellow Traveller is a little adventure game where you will meet and help some souls that are trapped in the same loop over and over.
Beyond that the additions are mostly just games coming to the standard version of game pass. The one non day 1 highlight would be Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 which will surely please Dragon Ball fans.
