One of PlayStation’s exclusive games has just been delayed. Moments ago Yang Bing, CEO and Game Director at Ultizero Games announced via Steam that Lost Soul Aside has been delayed until August 29th.
Lost Soul Aside had been scheduled to drop in a month from now on May 30th as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive as well as on PC. However with this announcement fans will have to wait a little longer. Considering the game was announced all the way back in 2016, a few months more of a wait likely won’t phase eager gamers.

The message from Bing reads:
“Dear Fans,
We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch.”
The move will at the very least mean Lost Soul Aside will be facing some much stiffer competition when it releases. We already know Mafia: The Old World will release on August 8th and as of today we know Borderlands 4 will release on September 12th. Luckily Lost Soul Aside is a much different type of game which will certainly help it stand out.
A Long Time Coming
Lost Soul Aside is the latest game from Sony’s China Hero Project, and one of the few to actually be published by Sony themselves. While the game was first announced in 2016 it has been in development for over a decade, starting in 2014. With its heavy influence from Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry series Ultizero is looking to make its mark in the action-adventure, role playing genre.

Players will assume the role of Kaiser, a character who sets out to save his sister Louisa after a group of beings, known as Voidrax take her soul. Fighting alongside Kaiser will be his dragon like companion Arena, whom can turn into a variety of different weapons to help in battle.
