Nearly 600,000 Souls Have Played 33 Immortals In Its First Month

It has only been a month since Thunder Lotus Games’ new co-op action roguelike 33 Immortals launched, and it has already received an unearthly amount of attention from fans. In a post published on the Thunder Lotus Games website, the developers shared player stats from the game’s first month, including the 33 Immortals player count, which has nearly reached 600,000.

We were fortunate enough to have some of our questions answered by the development team at Thunder Lotus Games, talking about the game’s inspirations, development, and future.

You can read our Early Access Review for 33 Immortals to get our initial thoughts on the game.

The post is an illustrated list with many of 33 Immortals’ stats for the two available areas, including how many successful and failed runs players have made, which is the more popular pet (it’s cats), and which enemies have proven the most lethal.

It is an interesting breakdown of the game, and gives a bit of insight into not only the health of the game, but also what the developers may look to change or keep the same. Currently, there is no clear favorite weapon for players, with Bows and Daggers proving slightly more popular than the Sword and Staff. No doubt, the team at Thunder Lotus Games is happy to see all weapon types being used and won’t feel the need to make any dramatic changes to their performance.

Some of the other 33 Immortals stats that were shared include the most popular Perks and Emotes used by players thus far, the number of players revived during a run, and the average DPS (damage per second) of players for the first month.

When it comes to the bosses of 33 Immortals, over 60% of attempts to beat the first area boss, Lucifer, have been successful, while just under 40% have triumphed over the second area boss, Adam and Eve.

The last of the 33 Immortals stats we’d like to highlight is the fact that 35 players have successfully beaten Beatrice’s Torture Chamber, the game’s tutorial, which players are expected to fail. The fact that anybody took the time to grind out this fight is impressive and shows the sort of love and enthusiasm for the game that its fanbase has.

The developers signed off the post with a lovely message to the fans:

“Thanks again to everyone who played! Your generous feedback is priceless for us, and is helping us make this the best game it can be!”

It is always nice to see a game trying something new, see success, and find its community, especially if it is a new IP. The team at Thunder Lotus Games have shared a roadmap for 33 Immortals covering the rest of 2025, which details what the studio has planned, from balancing and UX changes, and when players can expect more content to be added.
