In the evening after the heartwrenching gommage, which sees all those aged 33 disappear into petals and dust, members of Expedition 33 enjoy a small festival before they set off to stop the Piantress. As part of the festivities, you have the chance to get three rewards, costing one festival token each. Sadly, you only have one when you get to the event on the pier. But worry not, Expeditioners! Here is our quick guide to help you get all three festival tokens in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

First Token

Gustave already has the first festival token when he arrives at the festivities.

Second Token

After a short cutscene where Gustave shares a drink with some of his fellow expeditioners, you are back in control and able to explore this small party. In the centre of everything is Antoine, a bald man in a pale coat, who happens to be Gustave’s friend/rival. He challenges Gustave to a quiz, with a festival token as a prize for winning.

Here are the answers to Antoine’s three questions:

1. 66 Years
   
2. Expedition Zero
   
3. Abilities you internalise by using Pictos in battle after enough times.

Antoine congratulates Gustave for answering his three questions correctly and gives him the festival token, along with a heartfelt farewell.

Third Token

You get the third token by beating Maelle in another duel. She can be found on her own at the end of the pier.

Fortunately, if you fail to beat Maelle in combat, you can try again and again until you are victorious. Don’t waste any items in this fight, and just focus on dodging/parrying Maelle’s attacks and building up Gustave’s AP. Use Lumiere’s Assault and regular attacks until you have a full Overcharge bar, then use Overcharge for big damage!

Once you have beaten Maelle she will reward Gustave with the third and final festival coin.

Rewards

After a short cutscene between Gustave and his sister Emma, you are back in control and can trade your festival tokens with the three vendors. They can be found in front of three different coloured stalls near the stairs.

These are the rewards for trading your festival tokens:

1. Weird Pictos
   
2. Old Key (Used later on in the game)
   
3. Bun Hairstyle for Gustave

There is nothing left to do at the festival, so get ready for the journey ahead!
