Trident's Tale Gets Release Date Alongside Gameplay Trailer

Developer 3DClouds has been prepping their swashbuckling new game, Trident’s Tale for release. Today they announced a firm release date for the game alongside a vibrant new gameplay trailer.

Trident’s Tale is set to release on May 22nd at a price of $24.99USD/GBP/EUR for Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The family friendly pirate game will be a single player, narrative driven adventure where you play as Ocean, an aspiring pirate who is on a quest to find a magical artifact in order to rescue her father.

It is quite clear that 3DClouds has drawn inspiration from Rare’s Sea Of Thieves, though it certainly looks like there will be much more time on land in Trident’s Tale. Players will discover islands with numerous puzzles, recruit new pirates for Ocean’s ship, naval combat, mystical monsters and much more. Based on the trailer there will also be a fair bit of ship and player customization to give your adventure a unique feel. As a huge Sea Of Thieves fan Trident's Tale has been on my radar since it was first announced.

3DClouds is looking to continue its tradition in creating games that are accessible for everyone with combat that won’t frustrate less experienced players. The studio is known for games such as Paw Patrol World, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks: Stunt Mayhem and Transformers: Galactic Trials.
