Here at GSC, we’ve been covering Eternal Strands pretty closely up to it’s release. In fact, it is one of our highest rated games to start 2025. Not too long after the release, they provided a road map to updates, including two free DLC for this beautiful game. Today, we received our Spring DLC, Eternal Strands: Stargazer.
We knew the DLC would be great as it featured a collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV and XVI concept artist Yusuke Mogi. We’d be receiving a new epic to fight, a new armor set, and new weapon skins. This ark is no joke as this ark goes through the three different elements to attack you and is quite the flyer.
This beast is quite formidable and just a small pain to beat. As always, the first time to harvest you’ll need to beat the ark down to zero. This beast will track you quite a lot if you let it so during this fight, players should plan to use the surrounding ruins as cover when possible. As the Ark of the Nova cycles through attacking with kinetic, fire, and ice, you’ll want to be sure to cover the different bases as you run in to fight. The Yellow Brick Games team was also providing a new map and a new power for players to harvest from the ark. The new map is of Starlight Cape where you can plan to be climbing higher and higher to get to the top of the mountain. This area also brings with it additional quests. It wouldn’t be enough to just harvest and get a new power. You’ll have to explore secrets that lay here and what powers this specific ark.
The new weave power is quite an exciting one. You can summon a celestial scope to fire projectiles at enemies within range before it self destructs. This can definitely help when you enter areas where many enemies sneak up on you. Additionally, this scope is not bound by one type of power. You can alter the temperature to transform the magic used in the projectiles.
Let it be known, this wasn’t enough for Yellow Brick Games to move forward with on the Stargazer DLC. They also added a new armor set and a weapon dying system. Now you can switch up your look and keep your stats that you’ve been loving. They’ve also included increases in your inventory and pouch so you can hold more resources as you explore.
For a game that was already quite fantastic, it’s great to see additional content so soon. More content at the low, low price of free is always an added bonus. Eternal Strands: Stargazer DLC is now available for all with the next update. Will you be exploring Starlight Cape soon?
