Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap has been out since January 2025. Since its release it's received a ton of free content updates, one of which added a new mage character named Gabriella. However, in order to use Gabriella you first must unlock her. This guide will help you do just that as well as help you find some super secret skins that came with the update.
If you've come to us in the past to unlock Max then I have good news. Unlocking Gabriella is much easier and can be done within seconds of loading into the game. As soon as you enter the main castle hub you simply need to head to the alchemist area. If it's been awhile since you've played the alchemist is a new section of the castle.
Once you go down the stairs go around the alchemist and in behind him you will find a wand floating there. If you pick it up you will unlock Gabriella. Easy peasy!
Gabriella is a powerful mage who uses ranged magic to keep the orcs at bay. While perhaps not as powerful as the aforementioned Max, she is still definitely worth unlocking and using. Unfortunately there was no update to add an achievement for her, but she's still fun to play.
New Secret Skins
Additionally the recent update has added a couple new secret skins, and they are quite difficult to find. One is specifically for Gabriella, the other is for all characters.
Order Arboretum
The first skin is found in the Order Arboretum map. You can either start matches and quit over and over until you find it or just play naturally and wait til you land on the map. Once you've got the map make sure you select Max as your mage for his double jump ability. Once in the map you can look for the giant fountain, likely to the left of where you spawn.
What you need to do is double jump onto the fountain and then double jump again over to the other side which isn't exactly hidden but you'd really have no reason to go to, in the corner once up there you will find the morning sunshine skin. This skin is for Gabriella only. Once you collect it you can immediately quit or keep playing, the choice is yours.
Unrestricted Section
The second skin is much more hidden and can only be found on the Unrestricted Section map. Do the same method as above to find the map and once again make sure you select Max. Once loaded into the map head to the Rift. To the back right corner of where the rift is you will see a shelf you can jump up onto which will allow you to jump to a balcony.
On the balcony you will see a wooden door which you can actually walk right through. This will lead you to a secret hidden room and inside this room to the right will be the mustache skin. This skin is for all characters.
