Back in January, we let you know that you would need to wait a few more months before you could date household objects. Today we’re excited to share that Date Everything! has announced their digital release date. After working out all the kinks (no kink shaming here), Sassy Chap games and Team 17 announce Date Everything! will be releasing digitally June 17th with a physical release later in 2025.
The news comes with additional information on just how we can date all of the seemingly inanimate objects. As the main character, we are introduced to Skylar Specs (voiced by Felicia Day), the dateviators we’ll wear to awaken the objects we can speak to. We also learn there are three statuses we can have with these objects: love, friendship, and hate. All of these objects will also have different views on each of these statuses.

Date Everything! isn’t just a dating simulation where you’ll talk to objects on repeat. In fact, you’ll also be looking to grow your stats, in this game known as S.P.E.C.S., along the way. Fans of games such as the Persona will recognize this game mechanic. The higher your S.P.E.C.S. the more options available to you in future interactions. There are also branching dialogue that means you have multiple endings for each character. Perhaps your S.P.E.C.S. will help you unlock these endings?
The dialogue isn’t the only thing that changes. The 3d overworld will change based on the choices you make as you play. You’ll have to be sure to turn the charm on for many hours to hear all 70,000 voice lines and the over 11,000 hand drawn images. Amazingly enough, each datable character also has their own theme music for you to enjoy.

Date Everything! includes 100 fully voiced datable characters and some are quite on brand. You may know Matt Mercer as the Critical Role Dungeon Master and now he’ll be the D20 that you can take a chance on love with. Of course, Mercer isn’t the only Critical Role cast member joining this project. Laura Bailey also lends her talents as Harper. Other notable names are Neil Newbon, Ben Starr, Troy Baker, and Anjali Bhimani. This list doesn’t even include Sassy Chap Games co-founders Ray Chase, Robbie Daymond, and Max Mittelman.
Sassy Chap Games has been releasing more information on this star-studded cast on their Bluesky account. It’s hard not to feel the excitement growing as more voice actors are announced. Perhaps this is a game you’ll need the physical edition just to have something to hold on to!

You can play Date Everything! June 17th on PC (wishlist is open on Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X|S digitally. Will you be waiting for the physical editions or will the summer of love begin on June 17th for you?
