Xbox's annual summer showcase is just around the corner and today we've been given an official time and date. This years show will take place Sunday June 8th at 1pm EST and will be followed up with an Outer Worlds 2 direct.

The announcement via the Xbox Wire blog comes as little surprise. Xbox typically does its showcase on a Sunday during Summer Games Fest. This years show will be digital only. In keeping with the last few years the show will be followed by the Outer Worlds 2 direct. The Outer Worlds 2 getting the direct spot shows Xbox is putting a lot more behind it than the original. The previous 2 directs were of Starfield and Black Ops 6.
What To Expect?
While Xbox didn't announce any specifics of the showcase outside of The Outer Worlds 2 there is likely going to be plenty to look forward to. Updates on games like Fable and Gears Of War E:Day are likely a safe bet. Will we get new looks at the likes of State Of Decay 3, Everwild or Contraband? What about a new Forza Horizon or something in the Minrcraft world? There's certainly plenty of options.
Of course the showcase will also feature plenty from third party publishers and a plethora of Game Pass announcements. For Xbox fans, and gaming fans in general it will be a great day to see what's in the pipeline.
Where and When To Watch
The showcase will be available through a variety of outlets, in over 40 languages, as well as American Sign Language, British Sign Language and English Audio Descriptions. These include (but won't be limited to):
